Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.

The topic for this week is: Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer (I just adore Captain Thorne. This is an amazing series but he is something special!)

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Dead Ends by Erin Lange

The Assassin’s Blade (Throne of Glass #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J Maas

Every Word (Every #2) by Ellie Marney

Dreams of Gods and Monsters (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #3) by Laini Taylor

The Cracks in the Kingdom (Colours of Madeline #2) by Jaclyn Moriarty

Disruption (Disruption #1) by Jessica Shirvington

The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson

The Percy Jackson series (especially The Battle of the Labyrinth) by Rick Riordan

The First Third by Will Kostakis (I’m cheating. I’ve read this one last year and re-read it this year. And still – no review. But one day when I manage to get my fangirling into coherent sentences I’ll post one. Eventually.)

Which books have you loved most so far this year? Do we have any in common? Are there any you think I should check out? Feel free to leave a comment – I love reading them!

  1. Brilliant list Kate. I adored Cress and The Impossible Knife of Memory. Such good books! I’m looking forward to starting the Sarah J Maas series. Everyone speaks so highly of it.

  2. Fangirl is amazing- it made my list too! I’ve got The Assassin’s Blade, Cress, Every Word, Disruption and Cracks in the Kingdom all stacked up on my TBR ready to be read but I haven’t got to any of them yet. I think I’ll have to now!

  3. Great list. I’m really looking forward to reading the Throne of Glass and The Lunar Chronicles series, I still haven’t got round to these yet :-/ Dreams of God and Monsters, Fangirl and The Impossible Knife of Memory are all on my TBR too, though I don’t own any of them yet either… I’ll work on that over summer!
