Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Loved and Never Reviewed!

TTT Loved and never Reviewed

I’m a hopelessly tragic reader who reads a lot and only reviews around 10% of what I’ve read.

For this week’s freebie/throwback topic, I chose to share books I read and loved but then never reviewed.

  1. Between the Lives by Jessica Shirvington
  2. The Ruby Circle (Bloodlines #6) by Richelle Mead
  3. Boomerang by Noelle August (also I’ve read and loved the second book in this series, Rebound)
  4. The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes
  5. The Girl Most Likely by Rebecca Sparrow
  6. Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones
  7. Persuasion by Jane Austen
  8. Perfume by Patrick Suskind
  9. The Princess Bride by William Goldman
  10. Holier than Thou by Laura Buzo

These are some of my all time favourite books and I think that’s a huge reason why I’ve not reviewed them. I tend to come across like a rabid fangirl who is either slightly drunk or on a sugar high when I try to write about books I adored. It’s probably safer for everyone if I just leave them alone 😛

What are some books you have read and then never reviewed?

Do you like writing about your favourite books?

What’s the last book you read which made you want to fangirl?

Happy Tuesday! 😀

  1. I still need to read Minnow Bly. 🙂 Technically, I didn’t review The Raven King. I did a post on it on my blog, but it wasn’t really a review. Case in point, it only has a rating on Goodreads.

  2. Persuasion! That’s a tough one. 🙂 I haven’t read Minnow Bly, but I’ve heard so many good things. Sometimes, great books has the power to leave you speechless. So I don’t blame you. 🙂

  3. This is such a great topic, I need to remember this for the next TTT Rewind because I have plenty of books that I’ve loved but haven’t reviewed. I keep hoping I’ll eventually find time for them! From your list, I’ve only read Persuasion and Howl’s Moving Castle. Howl is one of my favorite fantasy books. 🙂 I need to read Holier Than Thou, I’ve heard good things about it. I’m really behind on all the Aussie YA that I want to read!

  4. The only book I’ve read from this list was The Ruby Circle. Sadly I didn’t care for it…Or the series as a whole. It ruined two of my favorite characters for me…Well one, cause Adrian already started getting on my serves by the end of Last Sacrifice! Great Top Ten! 😀 My Top Ten Tuesday!

  5. I LOVE Howl’s Moving Castle! You have excellent taste :P. I’m trying to be better about reviewing books lately. I tell myself that I can’t start a new book without having at least written detailed notes about the previous book in a pre-review sort of way. It’s nice to be able to go back to a review and remind yourself why you enjoyed or didn’t enjoy a book 🙂

  6. I agree with you. It’s hard to objectively review books you love, and sometimes in trying to be too objective or critical I end up finding too many flaws, and in doing too much research I come across bad reviews that get me doubting my taste in books.

    I also loved Perfume 🙂
