Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

Harlow Vega and Finn Roberts are from different worlds. Her parents are celebrities and she rubs shoulders with Hollywood’s elite. He works dawn to dusk on a fishing boat in Canada and is most comfortable in flannel shirts and jeans. But despite their differences, the sexual chemistry between them is electric. Their impulsive marriage during one drunken night in Las Vegas may have only lasted twelve hours – but the sparks between them are as strong as ever. Finn is back in town on business and has no intention of getting involved in a relationship. Harlow does not want to fall for Finn. She has her own personal problems she needs to focus on. That said, their connection is undeniable. Their no strings attached agreement seems to be the perfect situation… until real emotions get involved.

I really enjoy Christina Lauren’s writing style. They manage to deliver beautiful romances, fun characters, sizzling sensuality and some great storylines to tie it all together. I loved how Mia and Ansel fell in love during Sweet Filthy Boy and I was excited to see how everything came together for Harlow and Finn in book 2 of the Wild Seasons.

Told in alternating points of views from Harlow and Finn, Dirty Rowdy Thing is such a fun and flirty read. Harlow and Finn may be from different worlds but when it comes to a friends with benefits situation – their chemistry is off the charts. These two burn up the pages whenever they burn up the sheets! Their playful and sexy banter was so much fun to read and perfectly contrasted against the more emotional aspects of their story.

What I enjoyed most about this book is how it is more than just a steamy erotic read. Harlow and Finn have real problems and whilst their dirty, rowdy thing may be the perfect distraction from their real life complications, Christina Lauren made the characters face up to their issues. Both characters have problems with their families and their careers but they cope as best they can. Their connection with each other only added to their individual stories. Their journey from bed partners to something more was beautifully messy as they both overcame their first impressions.

I also loved how Finn and Harlow interacted with other characters from the Wild Seasons series – the camaraderie between all these characters was a joy to read. It was great to revisit Ansel and Mia (Sweet Filthy Boy) and see how they were going. And after seeing Lola and Oliver in Dirty Rowdy Thing – I’m excited for Dark Wild Night to be released next year.

IF you are looking for a sexy, playful read with characters you want to learn more about and a delightful romance – look no further than Dirty Rowdy Thing. Fun and flirty yet at times emotionally charged and slightly serious, this book was the perfect escape.
