Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.

The topic for this week is: Top Ten Book Covers I’d Frame as Pieces of Art

There are a lot of gorgeous book covers out there. Many of the books on my shelves I’m delighted to own because not only are they great to read but they make the room like that much more special.

Here are ten covers which I think would look great framed on my walls

F. Scott Fitzgerald series designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith

This particular version of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – I love the quotes and other things embossed on the cover. Great as wall art but also I like the texture. (picture found at Little Bird’s Nest on tumblr)

A Love Story:

I’ve written before about my love of literature and my hopes that Eleanor will grow up to enjoy reading like I did. So for her birthday I decided to purchase one of my favorite books and start a collection for her. (It didn’t hurt that I found this lovely pink leather bound edition with the title and quotes embossed!) Every year I plan to add another favorite of mine and create a library of titles that she will hopefully love as much as I do.

The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad (also designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith)

Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

Not a long list today but one that took me forever to come up with. I really like a lot of classic novels with different covers. I’m even tempted to buy different editions just because I adore their covers.

Which books do you adore the covers of? Any worthy of being art pieces on your walls?
