Top Ten Tuesday: Book Friendships

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.

The topic for this week is: Top Ten Books About Friendship

I’m going to give my own spin on this and instead list ten books in which I loved the friendships within them. These books are not necessarily about friendship but the characters have had friends and bonds that I adored reading about.

Dead Ends by Erin Lange

Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor

Charlotte’s Web by EB White

Lord of the Rings series by JRR Tolkien

Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan

Looking for Alaska by John Green

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Little Women by LM Alcott

The Healer series by Maria V Snyder

The First Third by Will Kostakis

Which books have your favourite friendships in them? I always love a book where the characters relationships (and not just the romantic ones) are a strength.

  1. Charlotte’s Web! Yes, oh my goodness the story and friendships and moral of the story is just so great. I agree with Lord of the Rings too, I think that’s one that’s going to show up on a lot of lists.

  2. Ooh, Little Women is a good pick. And Charlotte’s Web. You officially have an awesome list with Percy Jackson and LOTR on it too. Love your choices. I’ve heard Daughters of Smoke and Bone is supposed to be really good so I’ll have to try and locate a copy somehow.
