Top Ten Tuesday: Scariest Covers!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.

The topic for this week is: Top Ten Scariest Looking Book Covers

I haven’t read most of the books on this list (okay… now I’m looking at my list I haven’t read ANY of them!) and it has a lot to do with their covers. That and I’m not really into gory, horroresque stories.

Eek…. Creepy right?! I can’t wait to see what other people came up with for this week’s list as it was one of the hardest ones I ever had to make. Horror really isn’t my thing – nor are scary covers. I much prefer bright, shiny and pretty 😛

  1. Oh dear god, I’ve never seen the cover for The Vivisector before (or even heard it of for that matter) but it’s frightfully disgusting! I can’t believe that eye seriously made it on the cover, I’m sure it’s received heaps of complaints right?

I don’t read horror either so I wouldn’t really know what covers to choose for this meme either, but you’ve got a wonderful selection!

  2. WHOA that Poppet book is creepy. WHAT IS THAT? If I would have done this topic Peregrine’s (GAH CREEPY KIDS), The replacements and Anna would totally have been on my list!!

  3. YOU WIN. YOU WIN, OKAY? I’ve looked through several of these this morning. I watch a lot of horror and I don’t think I scare too easily, but that eyeball being pried at. . . Excuse me while I go feign vomiting.
